PROTECTED SINCE 2001
GUSKEY-MILLER PRAIRIES
These two adjacent properties include 39 acres of restored tall-grass prairie and a forest trail along Silver Creek, where huge Bur Oaks, Black Willows and Cottonwoods are along the stream corridor. The wooded area was cleared of invasives by volunteers who also helped with the clean-up of farm junk. The native grassland buffer filters and absorbs surface water runoff before it enters Green Lake’s main tributary. The trail is an easy to moderate hike, about 1 mile long with a few hilly
sections. .
